~Most Western astrology uses the Tropical zodiac, a system that aligns the signs with the seasons. But here's the thing—it no longer reflects the actual sky. Due to a phenomenon called the precession of the equinoxes, the stars have shifted over 24° since the Tropical system was created over 2,000 years ago.

~ True Sidereal astrology, on the other hand, aligns your chart with the real-time constellations in the sky—what you'd actually see if you looked up with a telescope. It includes the true astronomical sizes and placements of the constellations, even Ophiuchus, the 13th sign often left out of mainstream astrology.  True Sidereal Astrology also does not use a 30-degree sign system like tropical astrology does, instead the true size and degrees of the constellations (signs) are used.

~ This means your Sun, Moon, and rising signs might shift—and with them, your understanding of yourself, your timing, and your soul's path.  Some people have said to me, well I FEEL like a Scorpio, or I FEEL like a Cancer which is the sign their Sun was in when they were born according to Tropical or Mainstream astrology.  Well, when you get into the chart and understand how progressions work, it explains why people truly feel like the sign the Tropical systems assigns them at birth. We spend approximately 30 years experiencing different Sun signs as a temporary experience.  So, someone who was born in the later degrees of Libra has actually spent MORE time as a Scorpio Sun, does that make sense?

~I began my astrology journey learning the Tropical, or the mainstream way.  I found that certain placements didn’t add up.  I then began doing some research and came across an app called Stellarium.  I then realized that Pluto was NOT in Aquarius as Tropical, or mainstream astrology would have us believe.  Pluto is still within Capricorn (for now).  This changed everything for me.  I eventually found a brilliant astrologer by the name of Athen Chimenti.  He is one of the pioneers educating people on True Sidereal astrology and the history of astrology and how we got to Tropical astrology and how now it’s not accurate!  I have had the pleasure of learning from him one on one as astrologers used to do in more ancient times.  I am excited to be able to help educate people on True Sidereal for the purpose of understanding thyself in a deeper and more accurate way.
